In spite of our physical distance, ARCS Colorado is getting ready to welcome 46 ARCS scholars for the 2020-2021 academic year. First by conference call and now transitioned to Zoom meetings, the ARCS board continues to hold our monthly meetings to discuss how we adjust our activities for the fall, striving to maintain connection with our members and creating new bonds with our scholars.
We will be having our annual meeting virtually this year on September 16th from 10am until noon. Sadly, we will not be able to share a meal, but I hope that many of you will be able to join us for our meeting and program. A Zoom calendar invitation along with instructions will be emailed to our membership, but it is also possible to join us by phone if you choose. We are fortunate that almost all of our board members agreed to remain in their board positions for the 2020-2021 year so this will be our chapter’s first virtual officer induction ceremony. I am grateful for everyone’s continued flexibility and support!
Our Meet and Greets will also be held virtually on Zoom which may give many more members the opportunity to meet our scholars as you won’t have to make a trip. We are currently working with our university contacts and will keep you informed when dates and times are available.
Finally, I want to thank all our members who so promptly and generously renewed your memberships this summer. Our chapter continues to grow, embracing the energy and enthusiasm of new members while relying on the steadfast dedication and efforts of many long time members. I look forward to seeing many of you in September!
