Emily Shupe Talley grew up in the northwest and attended the University of Puget Sound where she graduated with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. She relocated to Denver where she began her medical education, becoming a Paramedic through the Denver Health EMS system. Shortly thereafter, she enrolled in the Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant program at the University of Colorado Health Sciences at Anschutz, graduating in 2007 with a Master of Science.
Emily worked at a private family practice for 13 years primarily caring for women and children, while also working as a part of the medical team for Denver’s Major League Lacrosse Team, The Outlaws. In 2021 she joined Colorado Kids Pediatrics practice. Emily is excited to work in pediatrics and grateful for the opportunity to positively impact children’s lives through health from an early age.
Emily enjoys travel and time in the outdoors with her husband, Rick, and her dogs, Shiba Inu, and Miso. Together they love sports and live music – you can find them on the volleyball court, ice skating rink, at a football game or getting down at a show at Red Rocks.
