Allison Sabel, MD, PhD, MPH is the Medical Director of Clinical Data and Analytics at Denver Health and a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Informatics at the Colorado School of Public Health. Dr. Sabel has provided leadership and direction to enterprise-wide clinical data reporting and clinical analytics for over 15 years. She is responsible for strategy, planning, and coordination of federal, state, local, and other industry clinical data reporting requirements in collaboration with multiple departmental leaders and data analysts. Allison maintains her board certification in General Preventive Medicine.
Dr. Sabel’s research interests include improving the quality and safety of healthcare through electronic data repositories, adverse event surveillance, and risk adjustment methodology. She serves on many national advisory boards addressing issues of health care quality, accessibility, and disparities. Dr. Sabel holds a medical degree; a doctorate in biostatistics; and a master’s degree in public health, with a concentration in epidemiology, from Tulane University.
Dr. Sabel’s interests extend far beyond the healthcare arena. She enjoys skiing, hiking, yoga, gardening, and travel. Allison lives in Colorado Springs with her husband, Daniel Soteres, and their two teenagers, Fletcher and Madeleine.
